Kindergarten and Stage One have been lucky enough to have some chicks visit us for the past 2 weeks. Each class has been talking about the life cycle of chickens and what chickens provide for us, such as eggs to eat. The group chicks were delivered to the school as eggs and KH and 2S were lucky enough to be watching the incubator as one of the chicks was hatching, which was a very exciting experience for those children. Throughout the 2 weeks, all the children have been enjoying visiting the chicks, holding and patting them and watching them grow into the beautiful group of 12 (10 yellow and 2 black chicks) that are chirping away in the library.
