Stage 2 Excursion
Posted on September 18, 2017
Last Tuesday, Stage 2 took a trip down to Wollongong! It was a long drive but we survived! When we got there we went to The University of Wollongong’s Innovation Campus. On this campus they have a Science Centre and Planetarium. We got to attend 3 different sessions within the centre throughout the day.
One session we spent inside the Planetarium where we got to fly through the Solar System, learn about the planets, stars and meteors.
Then we got to watch an amazing science show. We got to see what happens when you drop Mentos inside of a bottle of Pepsi Max (hint: it’s messy!), we learnt how sound travels, how heat moves and how electricity works.
Then we got to the best part: exploring the hands on science in the ‘big room’. This was so much fun! Definitely the best part of the day! Check out all of our amazing photos.
