Stage 1 in the olden days!
Posted on June 6, 2017
Stage 1 has been learning about the olden days this semester. Having returned from our excursion where children had the opportunity to handle a number of primary historical sources, we asked the children to design and make a toy that children may have played with in the past. In the classroom each table group represented a particular time in history e.g. the depression era, where resources were scarce. Children had to rely on their critical and creative thinking skills to think of innovative ways to turn a simple piece of paper and string into a fun toy! As always the children of 2S impressed Mrs Santoromito and Mrs Saxby with their enthusiasm and love of a challenge!
