St George Performing Arts Festival
Posted on August 15, 2017
Our very talented Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 dance groups performed at the annual SPAF concert on Thursday the 10th of August. All dancers performed twice, once for the matinee concert and once for the night concert. They all did an amazing job and made Rockdale proud. A big thank you to Mrs Stylianou, Mrs Hewitt, Miss Josevski and Miss Heynes for all their hard work and dedication in training our dance groups and giving them these opportunities.
This year the Primary Choir has the opportunity to showcase their talents for a range of events including Education Week Performances and the St George Performing Arts Festival at Hurstville Entertainment Centre on Thursday 10 August 2017. For Education Week the students performed the song Happy Together by The Turtles at school on Wednesday 2nd August and in Rockdale Plaza on Friday 4th August. To prepare students for the St George Performing Arts Festival, the students have weekly school rehearsals and attended two mass rehearsals at Carlton South Public School with other schools from the St George Region. During these rehearsals the students had to learn and perform a range of songs from different musical genres. The students have shown their dedication in ensuring that they attend all rehearsals and practice all of the songs to the best of their abilities. I am proud of all of their efforts and achievements that they have demonstrated for choir. Ms Yeung
