Public Speaking Competition

Posted on September 15, 2015

The Rockdale Public School Public Speaking Competition was held on Wednesday, 9th September 2015. The whole-day event in the School Hall was attended by the students and parents. All the class finalists had worked hard on their prepared speeches trying to strike a perfect balance of opinion and information, and presented these speeches very eloquently as well. Mrs Smith, the adjudicator for the event, found it extremely difficult to decide the winners in each stage as the impromptu speeches were of equally high quality, striking a balance of wit, humour and spontaneity. The four speakers who came out with flying colours are as follows:

Adam Bourke (Early Stage One)

Daisy Martin (Stage One)

Eva Gouramanis (Stage Two)

Hal Norved (Stage Three)

These students will now be representing Rockdale Public School in the Zone Finals of Georges River Public Speaking Competition at Oatley Public School on Wednesday, 14th October 2015.

A special thank you to Impromptu Managers, Mrs Miller, Miss Pearson and Miss Dinale.
