Public Speaking Competition 2017
Posted on September 21, 2017
The K-6 Public Speaking Finals for the Georges River Network was held on Wednesday 13 September 2017 in the school hall. In this competition, each class from Early Stage One to Stage Three was represented by two public speaking finalists to present their speeches in their division. The high quality prepared and impromptu speeches by the stage representatives, effort of the teachers behind the scenes, and a fantastic parent and student audience made this event a great success. We congratulate all the class representatives on their efforts! The winners and topics from each of these divisions are as follows:
Early Stage One: Lily Huynh (KT) Why we need trees?
Stage One: Adam Bourke (2S) The best sport in the world.
Stage Two: Mareta Carati (3/4E) Exercise is important.
Stage Three: Gina Schneider (6SJ) Equal rights.
They will now be representing Rockdale Public School in the Network Finals at Hurstville Public School on Tuesday 24 October 2017. We wish our class finalists all the very best!
